Bye Sweet Baby

They said baby Joe had to go today.

Pray for our hearts.

We have great peace, knowing he is with
a family member who will love him
and care for him, but we are still sad.

It's just sad.

We will miss our littlest man.

What a sweet face! And what a gift to be the ones to love him during his first weeks of life.

We will certainly pray for your hearts as you continue to do God's work.

We thank God that you have hearts big enough to love the littlest, the most vulnerable. We thank God that you have hearts big enough to let them go.

We'll miss Little Joe.

To cheer ourselves up, we drove around town teaching Danny the song, "Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer. It actually worked for a little while.

At church yesterday Mike was so proud of Danny for knowing how to give him knucks!

Mike taught he and Bryce this. And how to make it explode.

Just ask Danny to give you knucks.

I've really been fine all day until I looked at this stinking blog.

We took this picture this morning right before he left. For such a happy picture, it really makes me sad.

I think I'm going to have to change my homepage for a while until Heather writes something else. Then at least this picture won't be the first thing on my screen.

That's such a good picture of such a happy baby. I think you can rest assured that if it weren't for you guys taking him in, he wouldn't be able to produce a smile like that. Continue doing what's right!

Thank you for forging the way! That is the part of foster care I've always dreaded, but you are such a godly example for the rest of us. Praise God for a good home for Joe!
